My childhood memories.

19:00

Today's topic is Childhood memories which is pretty ironic as I have just been sat playing around with my mums old camcorder watching old video footage of us all in the snow. Sadly I can't share these videos with you today, but that said, I am hoping to get them developed so I can share them to you on my YouTube channel sometime this year.
When looking back at myself as a child all I can think of is Spain and being brought up here, I can remember my first day of school when Don Jose (my teacher) sat me on a chair in front of the whole class and introduced me to them. I also remember how much I hated school and how I would always refused to eat at the school canteen and my brother would have to sit next to me and persuade me.
Me and my brother always had a really strong bond throughout our childhood, I used to spend every day with him and his friends getting into bother and mischief and I think that the only thing that distanced us was when he got his first girlfriend and he didn't no longer want his little sister following him around (obviously lol). That said, we still live under the same roof and we still love each other to bits, I think.

This photo here, I believe, is the first ever photo of me and my brother as you can quite possibly tell as I look like *thinks for about 10 minutes* ... like a cute little newborn baby. Where as my brother, he looks like he is scared for his life, and most of all for his toys but never the less, he looks freaking adorable.

I don't even know what to say... how cute are we though? I am totally loving my little 'bish whet?' pose and lets not forget about the little Wallace and Gromit body wash.

Here are some photos of us on holiday in Spain, before we actually came to live in Spain.

This is the photo my mum used to make one of my Birthday cards, for my sixteenth maybe, I'm not sure, but I'm full on paaaaaaaarty!

Clearly this photo describes that toddler / munchkin / devil child phase of my life but how cute is my outfit?

BEWARE OF THE CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!

These four photos just describe our childhood and relationship to a T, except I would probably get tired of him and start crying, but at least we are cute.

And here I am through my 'tomboy' stage where all I used to do was play with my brother, his friends and my dogs.

My grandparents were also a massive part of my childhood and when I think of the word, or of memories, I remember my grandad, he is always a happy memory and a funny one and I will always miss him and love him.

Quickly before I go, I want to also introduce you to Spike, who along with Paddy (the black dog in the photos who we brought from England) was a massive part of my childhood and sadly passed away in 2014. Spike was the most loving, and caring dog ever, I couldn't of asked for a better pet and we all miss him ever so much.

But okay, lets not get soppy. To end it off, just look at how adorably cheeky we look here, so freaking cute! I dare you to upload one of your childhood photos and tag me!

Easy & cheap drugstore makeup look.

21:49

Last Tuesday I was playing around with my makeup (as usual) when I came up with this look that I really liked and it was really easy to achieve so I thought I would share it with you!

To start of, and I'm not quite sure why I did it this way round, I used my ASTRA concealer to prime my eyes and then went straight in with the eye shadow. Using my Makeup Revolution London 'What are you waiting for?' palette and I applied the colour 'Take a chance' to my lid, and then applied a tiny bit of 'sex chromosome' to the crease and blended these together with my UD  brushes. For my lashes I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara and applied the 'Normal' lashes from Primarni (aka, Primark).

Then I applied my holy grail foundation from Rimmel and I buffed this in with my Urban Decay foundation brush.

To my messy (horrible) brows, all I did was brush through them with my Loreal brow artist plumper.

Then to finish off I used my Minnie bronzer in the colour Terracotta and the W7 blush in the colour Galactic.

Pictures

12:00

Ever since I remember I have been obsessed with pictures: Polaroids, film ones, digital ones. I just love something that captures a Time and a Place. I look around my room and it is full of pictures. Moments. These moments that existed, and then disappeared. I suppose I never considered the importance of a picture until I went through a box of my mums old pictures, and inside I found a sea of different memories from when she was younger. Different memories. Different times. Different people. Another world that existed and now it doesn't but you have proof that it happened, it is living and re-living in pictures and it is forever immobilized.

You can see the time you went on a family holiday to Mallorca when you were two.

Or the time you got your photos taken back in nursery or school.

Or even more recently when you took that late evening stroll round a different city you'd never visited.

Or the time in your old house when you we're playing in the garden because it was a nice summery day.
Its all there and I guess that's why pictures are important. You can appreciate the pictures yourself or more importantly it opens up that little box in your head that takes you back to that time and that place, and the beauty is maybe it was a good time for you, or maybe it was a bad time for you, either way your happiness or sadness can resign in a picture. For example, you might not be able to recognize yourself or other people in a picture but it doesn't matter because it is frozen and it was what it was and I suppose that it is it, it is a fragment of time forever frozen, but frozen while your living and breathing.
Yes, and I suppose that is why I love pictures.

False alarm and eagle alert!

20:02

So yes, it turns out that my mummy guinea pig wasn't in labor, it was just me getting excited and anxious for the babies to arrive. She is still heavily pregnant though and a bit moody so she must of just been feeling it that day especially.
Well that's all the news for today, and seen as that is all I had to blog about, I thought that sticking to the animal theme I would tell you about yesterdays event. The peacock alert. Here goes.
Yesterday morning I got back from walking my dogs, just to find a peacock sat on the pool banister under the tree. Obviously I couldn't let it go without snapping some pics.

After its first and sadly, most probably last photo shoot I remembered a neighbor from a few houses down used to have a peacock or two, so I went and asked her and she admitted it was hers but as most Spanish are, didn't care for a moment and just said it will either come back or not.
After her frustrating behavior I went home and woke my brother home, fetched some towels and gardening gloves and hoped for him to tackle the peacock hen down, but he didn't. As soon as he arrived at the seen, she did her grand escape, the thing that she had probably been dying to do for months. She set off. But not like a peacock she had the speed of a sparrow behind her and looked like a gigantic eagle or something, I bet more than one teenage fool called the police saying they'd seen an eagle (most probably one of my brothers friends, they've done it before).
I just want to thank this peacock for allowing me to take these beautiful snaps, wish her and her boyfriend (who the neighbor told me also had escaped less than an hour later) the best in there journey, and lastly that they get a foreign new owner so they can get treated correctly.
What "animal" tales have you got to tell me? I'd love to hear all about them!
