One Hell Of A Fussy Pussy

19:25

Having a cat is something I have never dreamed of as I was always scared of cats and their claws growing up (stupid, I know). Mid August 2016 my dogs encountered a little stray kitten who had severe cat flu, dehydration and its mummy had sadly given up on it in order to be able to dedicate most of her time and milk on her healthy kitten. In other words, I came across a poorly kitten that was at deaths doors.

I took the kitten in thinking she wouldn't actually survive and if she did, I would find her a loving caring house which was very enthusiastic of me as all animal shelters in Spain are overflowing and nobody wanted a kitten and if they did, they didn't want a black one or just some problem or another. One thing led to another and she ended up spending most of her days in my room, chilling in my window or laying on my lap and the last thing I could possibly do was put her back out in the 'wild' or hand her in to a animal shelter that is already overloaded with unwanted pets to a severe case and seen as I cannot send her overseas in a jiffy bag nor to Hannah or to my Grandma, I think I am stuck with her.

Meet Missy, my six month old Siamese cross kitten. Missy is one salmon loving hell of a fussy pussy. She has gone from a desperate street kitten to 'hell no I'm not eating that' in no time and only eats the jelly bit from cat meat and salmon pate that looks like baby poo (TMI) although she has no problem with the boring old biscuits. My Grandma says she has the same problem with her cats which is quite reassuring as I have never owned a cat before and all her behavior is quite new to me. If you are a cat lover, expert or owner and you can help me out when it comes to her and her meat please do, I have tried mixing her favourite (the poo one) with the jelly one but its just a no-go!

In terms of WC Missy has never had an accident out of her tray (and yet hasn't sprayed anywhere) which is amazing and I can even take her tray away for a couple of hours to wash and disinfect and it doesn't bother her at all, she makes me such a proud mama.

Like I mentioned, Missy was severely poorly when I took her in and she had what I diagnosed as cat flu. She would wake up every morning covered in snot and her eyes would be sealed shut with a layer of eye boogies. I honestly thought she was past saving point and seen as I didn't have the money to spend on her I just tried my best, bathing her everytime it was needed with slightly warm water and lost of TLC and as you can see it worked wonders for her.

Have you got any rescue pets? Also, if you have any other questions upon the topic be sure to ask me and I will help you out.

Meet my family.

19:00

          Week 3, meet my family.

WARNING: MY FAMILY IS NOT BASED ON PHOTOGENIC PEOPLE NOR DO THEY LIKE CAMERAS AND THEY HIDE FROM PHOTOS SO THIS WAS A DIFFICULT POST TO PUT TOGETHER.

Excuse my non makeup face but this is my mum, one of my biggest inspirations. She is a travel maniac as am I and she is also a little bit of a nutter now and again. She is a person that would legit do ANYTHING for me and I could not love her more.

I promise he isn't 8 months pregnant when you see him in person, he's more of a 2 month one and he is simply a quite annoying workaholic.

And lastly my brother, of who I do not have a current photo (oops!) is this very annoying 21 year old with the mindset of a 8 year old.
Sorry this post is not a very long one, it is just I do not know what to say about my family that isn't all cliche and overheard. I love them okay?

The Kitten.

15:48

Meet the kitten. This adorable little bugger is "The Kitten", the most adorable thing we've been looking after for just over a week now.

When I say looking after, I mean shouting over my neighbours fence for it to come and then we give it food, water and bathe its eyes and we've already seen a massive improvement.

And that's all I've got to say, I just wanted you to witness the cuteness and meet our now friendly ball of trouble who ins't really ours, but you get the gist *winks awkwardly*.

Introducing my guinea pigs.

12:25

Finally, I have made a decision to introduce to you all, my five lovely guinea pigs. Last time I tried to introduce you to the two newest arrivals, it was all a false alarm and they weren't ready for the arrival for at least another week, oops! (That just shows how much of a clumsy weirdo I really am...).

The eldest one of the bunch at the moment, is the mummy Cat, seen as Alfie sadly passed away a few weeks after the arrival of his two boys, Ernie and Bert. We aren't quite sure what he died of seen as he was given to us and we weren't quite sure how he'd been brought up, or if he already had some kind of ailment we were unaware of.

Before Alfie died, I took some really good quality family portraits of the four of them (both parents and babies) and they looked like the coolest little family ever, they looked like the Saccone Joly's Guinea Pig edition, but sadly, due to my clumsiness I rubbed them off my camera before I had passed them to my PC. You should always check and be sure guys, before you make a silly decision to regret!

Anyway, enough of the talking (typing) lets show you these cute little fellas!

These above, are the newcomers to the household, and they are the tiniest, cutest things ever (aren't all baby guinea pigs?). They were born at eight-ish in the morning last Wednesday, and it couldn't of given me a happier start to the day. They haven't got any names yet, but we are quite sure that the white one is a girl and the little black fellow on the right is a boy, although you can supposedly not tell for exact until they are at least 21 days old.

These two are the teenagers, Ernie and Bert. Ernie is just like his little sis, and Bert is just like his dad. Ernie is the friendliest of the bunch, and Bert is by far the shiest, it is so difficult to get a good photo of him!

And finally we've got the mummy, she is the cutest ever with her big floppy ears. She is very black,  but when the sun is shinning on her she has lots of brown bits and a brown chin (so cuuuuute), and she is always up for a cuddle and squeeze.

Don't forget to leave a comment giving me some name ideas, I really need the help! xx

Some new arrivals to the family.

16:27

Right now, as I am typing, my guinea pig, Cat, is giving birth to her second litter. Yes, I am excited and over the moon, but I am terrified she doesn't survive the labor seen as she is a more petite guinea pig and this time she has put more weight on, and it was only January she gave birth to her first litter of two, Ernie and Bert.
Anyway, we are staying out of her way for a bit and hopefully, like last time, everything will go to plan.
Lets hope for the best! Xx
