My childhood memories.

19:00

Today's topic is Childhood memories which is pretty ironic as I have just been sat playing around with my mums old camcorder watching old video footage of us all in the snow. Sadly I can't share these videos with you today, but that said, I am hoping to get them developed so I can share them to you on my YouTube channel sometime this year.
When looking back at myself as a child all I can think of is Spain and being brought up here, I can remember my first day of school when Don Jose (my teacher) sat me on a chair in front of the whole class and introduced me to them. I also remember how much I hated school and how I would always refused to eat at the school canteen and my brother would have to sit next to me and persuade me.
Me and my brother always had a really strong bond throughout our childhood, I used to spend every day with him and his friends getting into bother and mischief and I think that the only thing that distanced us was when he got his first girlfriend and he didn't no longer want his little sister following him around (obviously lol). That said, we still live under the same roof and we still love each other to bits, I think.

This photo here, I believe, is the first ever photo of me and my brother as you can quite possibly tell as I look like *thinks for about 10 minutes* ... like a cute little newborn baby. Where as my brother, he looks like he is scared for his life, and most of all for his toys but never the less, he looks freaking adorable.

I don't even know what to say... how cute are we though? I am totally loving my little 'bish whet?' pose and lets not forget about the little Wallace and Gromit body wash.

Here are some photos of us on holiday in Spain, before we actually came to live in Spain.

This is the photo my mum used to make one of my Birthday cards, for my sixteenth maybe, I'm not sure, but I'm full on paaaaaaaarty!

Clearly this photo describes that toddler / munchkin / devil child phase of my life but how cute is my outfit?

BEWARE OF THE CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!

These four photos just describe our childhood and relationship to a T, except I would probably get tired of him and start crying, but at least we are cute.

And here I am through my 'tomboy' stage where all I used to do was play with my brother, his friends and my dogs.

My grandparents were also a massive part of my childhood and when I think of the word, or of memories, I remember my grandad, he is always a happy memory and a funny one and I will always miss him and love him.

Quickly before I go, I want to also introduce you to Spike, who along with Paddy (the black dog in the photos who we brought from England) was a massive part of my childhood and sadly passed away in 2014. Spike was the most loving, and caring dog ever, I couldn't of asked for a better pet and we all miss him ever so much.

But okay, lets not get soppy. To end it off, just look at how adorably cheeky we look here, so freaking cute! I dare you to upload one of your childhood photos and tag me!

Meet my best friend.

19:00

Yes, meet my best friend. Inspired by Róisin who is a Instagram Blogger (link is here, you should deffo check her out!) I have decided to start a Blog Challenge and I am doing the 52 Week Blog Challenge in hope that it inspires me to blog more, be more active here on my blog, and hopefully do it till the end!
That said let me introduce you to my best friend Laila. Why Laila and not Jack I hear you scream? Because he is a little bugger and because I have been brought up with Laila although I do totally adore them both.

Laila is a six year old dalma-bob or a bob-nation, whichever of both floats your boat the most. Her mummy who sadly passed away at birth of Laila and her eight siblings was a lovely bobtail and her pappy Luck, is the most handsome and kindest dalmatian I have ever met.
I remember the day we got Laila as if it was yesterday and I shall never forget it. I don't know what else I can say about y bestie apart from the fact she loves tennis balls, walks on the beach, eating bread and Jack. Oh, and she would never hurt a fly!
For those who are wondering why Laila, a dog is my best friend and not a human person is simply the fact that she has never let me down unlike the human species, she was there for me at the toughest time of my life and she's always the one to make me smile, even when I'm annoyed at her as she creeps up to me looking at me sheepishly with her blue eye as if saying "are you really that annoyed at me?"
Basically, Laila isn't a bitch like most girls. Don't get me wrong, not all girls are bitches, but in high school 80% or more are. High school breeds bitches and that's why I hate it but that's a whole different story.

Does anyone else have a dog as a best friend or is that just me?

Hotter than an otter.

12:09

No, that you see isn't an otter, it isn't a beaver either, it is a dog named Jack.
We've had Jack since we rescued him at the end of October 2014 and he is the most loving and happy dog ever (or that's how it seems), he loves cuddles, kisses, playing ball, eating, going in cars, barking at other dogs, barking at my neighbour David, even if you are building he is sat next to you supervising and being a boss, but there is nothing he loves more than swimming.

The first time he went in the water, he wasn't very keen and he was very scared, but once we got him out he just wanted to come back in, so he did. He also didn't want us to hold him, so we didn't, we supervised him and let him swim alone in the shallow end (don't worry, his feet can touch the floor). Then he realized he could lay on the lilo's and chill, so he did. And after swimming and swimming and playing and chilling, he is just a pool babe, he treats it as if only me and my mum can go in with him, anyone else is banned, and he loves playing chase with us in the pool but we never let him stay in for more than 15 minutes at a time and he always has a "tantrum" and tries to jump back in.
What funny things does your pet do? I'd love to know! Xx

Glorious winter walk through Mojacar Pueblo.

11:57

On Tuesday me and my parents decided to have a nice run out to Mojacar Pueblo. The start of the journey, was pretty good, the sun was shinning, and the views were beautiful.
My fist photo opportunity came as we drove towards Tabernas (where they used to come and film for the Spaghetti Westerns) when I saw a real life cowboy chilling out at the side of the road with his trusty steed.

We drove our way through Sorbas and wound our way through country roads to Turre where we stopped of to look for a bargain opportunity at one of the second-hand shops that is located there, only to find out it sold tea pots that looked to be stuck together with glue after being broken in 2468 pieces, and the dullest clothes from 1875.
We continued are journey for another half an hour to our destination, and it was just as beautiful as we expected with its up hill roads (that gave us a  brilliant leg work-out) and lovely views of both the mountains and beaches around us.

On our journey home my dad suggested a fish and chips and that definitely got our mouths watering and we jumped at the chance of a taste of England. It was all tasty and delicious at thought of it, and after a bit of Google searching and up and down the streets of Mojacar town, we found Zac's Plaice but unfortunately CLOSED FOR THE WINTER.

So as an alternative and another of my dads recommendations, we stopped at a road side bar, sun shinning on the terrace, customers chatting at the tables outside (didn't look too bad, mind you, almost everything looks better in the sunshine). My mums Carne con Tomate came, with lovely fresh bread on the side, everything looking hopeful until my burger arrived, expecting home made burger in fresh bun, fries on the side... Looked at it, touched it, smelt it, left it.

So saying this, next time we go out, I think I'll decide where we eat.

Thank you so much for reading, I really recommend you to view Mojacar if you have a choice, but choose where you eat carefully, and if you have done anything nice this winter holidays please write in the comments, I would love to hear.

Ps, if you ever get a rank burger, be braver than us and complain. Until next time, Ellie x
