LOLA Makeup first impressions

15:49

So today I am here with my first ever First Impressions post upon these few products I ever so kindly recieved in my PO Box thanks to Cristina over at the LOLA office (LOLA makeup products in the UK are available exclusively in Marks & Spencers).

My first thought in my head when I saw this lippy was "wow, packaging". The packaging is matte black and just looks very sturdy, still keeping its femininity by the glossy black edges and areas and they keep this theme up throughout all their products. Onto the inside product, again wow; It is a very pigmented, bright, summery pink with a orange undertone. It is quite hard to explain but I will upload some photos to my other social medias of me wearing it.

The nail varnish they sent me is in the colour 008 and it is the exact same shade as the lipstick which I think is great if you want to wear them both together to a wedding, or some other special occasion and I guess other colours from their range come in similar pairs.

The eyeshadow they sent me is in the shade Satin and trust me, none of their products failed to impress me, the pigmentation in this is insane, and again it is a very summery colour which I think anybody could rock.

They sent me their standard blush in the shade Blush and the pigmentation is again, amazing. I think you could easily go overboard when applying it so I am going to have to bare that in mind when using this product.

The last thing I recieved was this USB and I know I shouldn't get so excited about this but I did, and I am, how cool is it?
Have you ever tried any LOLA makeup products? They have for sure got a thumbs up from me!

Let your skin breathe.

I feel like every single post I upload on my blog is some kind of PR unboxing video, so as you can imagine that is what I have for you yet again today, as I received a package from Urban Veda, who is a natural skincare brand.
They sent me their Soothing Set from their 'Let your skin breathe collection'.
So far I have heard amazing reviews for these products and after a bit of research I now know they have received quite a range of awards down to their great products some of them being the Beauty Award or the Beauty Shortlist Award back in 2014.
I personally love how this company brands for everyone and every skin type. So, when on their website you can either purchase or, answer a series of questions, all very easy and about you skin and then, they recommend you one of their four sets: either the Purifying, Radiance, Soothing or Reviving.

AEOS

AEOS.

16:01

Active Energised Organic Skincare

AEOS is a brand I have yet not explored in depth but when the opportunity popped up for me to work with them and their products I jumped at the chance. The range I have been sent are the Optimal Essentials containing twelve samples.

Starting with the Cleansing Oil Dé-Maq who's blend of sesame, avocado and spelt oils function is to help in the removal of makeup and gives your skin a nice, gentle cleanse whilst helping keep the delicate moisture balance of the skin.

The Dew Facial Wash provides a gentle and mild cleansing refreshing your skin.

The Gentle Cleansing Lotion was the first product I sampled from the collection to cleanse my face and remove my remaining makeup whilst at the same it helped maintain the moisture of my skin.

Both the Gentle Exfoliants (Pink & Blue) products together helped exfoliate leaving the skin soft, smooth, nourished and hydrated.

The Energizing Skin Conditioner encourages hydration and moisture to the skin, leading it to its natural balance and it also helps to calm, soothe and soften the skin.

The Refreshing Hydrating Mist is actually the first time I've ever tried a Mist product and the response has been great, I've loved the hydrated feel and nice complexion it has given to my skin.

Although I am not sure of any long-term benefits of the Realive Serum as a serum yet, after use I do notice it leaves the skin so silky and soft, and is a great prep for foundation.

Both the Enriching Moisturizers are made to blend quickly into the skin to protect and hydrate especially for damaged or tired skin.

Lastly, the Awakening Beauty Body Lotion and the Beauty Body Shower are both full of nourishing organic oils and plant extracts to help hydrate and soothe, leaving the skin soft and smooth.

If you are interested in any of these products you can check out their website here.
All these products are a joy in my collection and I'm enjoying using them. Have you ever tried anything from AEOS? Do you have any recommendations?

Easy & cheap drugstore makeup look.

21:49

Last Tuesday I was playing around with my makeup (as usual) when I came up with this look that I really liked and it was really easy to achieve so I thought I would share it with you!

To start of, and I'm not quite sure why I did it this way round, I used my ASTRA concealer to prime my eyes and then went straight in with the eye shadow. Using my Makeup Revolution London 'What are you waiting for?' palette and I applied the colour 'Take a chance' to my lid, and then applied a tiny bit of 'sex chromosome' to the crease and blended these together with my UD  brushes. For my lashes I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara and applied the 'Normal' lashes from Primarni (aka, Primark).

Then I applied my holy grail foundation from Rimmel and I buffed this in with my Urban Decay foundation brush.

To my messy (horrible) brows, all I did was brush through them with my Loreal brow artist plumper.

Then to finish off I used my Minnie bronzer in the colour Terracotta and the W7 blush in the colour Galactic.

My everyday makeup essentials.

18:27

[SORRY FOR THE SHAKY HAND CUT OUTS]

I've been wanting to write this post for a couple of weeks but I've never really got down to it so here goes.
These are the few essentials I use for my everyday makeup.
I'm sorry I missed out the eyeliner but I swap between three: either the Deliplus liquid eyeliner, the P.S Love one from primark (It is GREAT and long lasting, especially with a bit of primer) and the Deliplus felt tip one.

First of all, brush wise I use these traveling size Urban Decay brushes, as you can tell I dropped the foundation brush and broke the handle and I have not yet fixed that, oops! I love these brushes because they are very soft and easy to take in your makeup bag due to there size, I have a collection of a total 12 of these brushes, but these are the four I most use.

Then, I use this colourful Bobby Pin fluffy brush to apply my blush, I'm not sure if this is the right thing to use (probably not) but I'm not a professional and for that you shouldn't take much of my advice aboard.

To blend in my concealer I use my Beauty Blender and as you can tell by the colour of it I have been loving it, I was going to wash it before taking these photos but I just thought that would be quite fake and unrealistic and at least as it is it looks loved.

Moving on, my in the mood pallete from W7 has become my favorite everyday nude palette, I actually did a review a couple of weeks ago about it and I have just fallen more and more in love with it since then! I think the thing I love the most about this palette is the fact that the colours are matte and neutral but make a lovely day to day look and they are super easy to apply, long lasting and very pigmented even at the end of the day, basically everything you want your makeup to be.

Foundation wise, my rimmel match perfection wake me up foundation is my holy grail foundation and I have used it for a very long time now. It isn't a massive cover-up foundation, but like nearly all, you can build it up to be one. I apply this along side my rimmel match perfection concealer and highlighter, this is my first time using this concealer and I really like it so far and I will definitely be buying it again.

The bronzer I've been loving is this 2,50 one I again hyped about in a post a couple of weeks ago, I use it as more of a contour than a bronzer and although the tone is very dark and scary, it blends into a very nice tanned color.

As I have been loving the W7 products, I thought on trying out their blusher to give a bit of colour to my cheeks and I got this one in the tone Galactic and now it has an everyday use.

Mascara wise I use my deliplus maxi volume mascara, at first it was a bit tricky to get used to but now I have the hang of it I really like it and it gives me some incredibly long lashes.

Lastly, brow wise I don't do much, all I use is this Loreal brow artist plumper and I think it is really good alternative if you want to do something to your brows and keep them in place but don't want to go full out and color them in.

These are all the products I use on my day-to-day, what are some of yours?
Xx

W7 In The Mood Palette Review.

21:26

Whilst browsing through Primor aka my new favorite shop ever, I came across a section full of W7 products and I directly fell in love with the simplicity and colors of this palette. It is a small tin palette with mate nude colors in it and very very similar to the Nude palettes but the thing is, it only cost me 4 euros. I know, its unbelievable and totally worth it, I promise. The thing is, I thought that if you love the Naked Palette colors, like obviously anyone would, but you aren't a massive makeup person and your not in the hype and you don't just want to by the Naked palette for the sake of collecting them (like I do) I really think you can achieve the same or REALLY similar look to a Naked Palette with a couple of these W7 palettes if not one.
W7 have a massive range of cheap products and bigger palettes both shimmers and mattes and I totally recommend them to anyone who wants to try out makeup or just simply doesn't want to spend all of their pocket money on a Urban Decay Palette.
My two favorite colors in this palette are Wink and Katie (this one is very similar to Tease out of the Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette) and I also really like how Cargo (Similar to Naked 2 Blackout) looks with these two colors in the crease.
Today's question is, what cheap makeup products do you recommend me to try out?Xx

What are you waiting for? Palette review.

18:00

I've been meaning to this post ever since I slipper the palette into my Primor bag. As you have probably notices, I am more of a neutrals girl, I'd rather war a brown or a gold any day rather than a blue or a purple just because they make me look like an even bigger weirdo with my blue eyes.
When the day I was going to buy this palette came (I'd been wanting it for a couple of weeks) I was umming and aring a LOT about which palette to get as they all looked equaly as great, but finally I decided over the 'What Are You Waiting For?' palette.
It is a VERY inexpensive palette but you would've never guessed, its packaging is very high quality (it looks like a chocolate bar if I may say so myself) and it would easily be perfect to take traveling with you as it isn't at all chunky or heavy.

Now moving to the inside of the palette, it is a nudish themed palette, based on gold, brown and a bit of pinkish shades. There are twelve shimmered colors, and six matte ones all very highly pigmented and long lasting. My three favorite and most used shimmers are:
Scary conversation
Take a chance
Shut my eyes
And my three favorites and most used mattes are:
Million Dollar Contract
Hot Track
Brand New Fans
All in all I think this palette is a great buy and I will definitely be getting another one out of the collection.
Have you tried any of the Makeup Revolution products? If so, what did you think about them? Xxx

June Favorites Makeup.

11:17

So this post is a very overdue one, I have been planning out and wanting to write for a few weeks, but I'm to lazy to just sit down and get to it so I thought I'd finally just get to it.

Firstly, I've been loving these ASTRA nude nail varnishes, on the left, I've got the palest of the both and it is the number 33 and on the right I've got the slightly more tanned nude in the number 05.

Secondly, I've been loving this Rimmel (.match perfection.) concealer. Mine is in the tone classic beige. It is a liquid concealer which is my personal favorite type of concealer and I got it in a Rimmel 2x1 deal at my local drugstore.
I then have my Deliplus 4 euro mascara I have always had a love/hate relationship with ever since I bought and for some reason this month I have been really reaching out for it and loving it.

These two Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks are absolutely brilliant and I'm definitely going to be stretching y budget to buy some more. They were also on an offer but they aren't at all expensive. These I have are the number 111 (the red one on the left) and 38 (the salmonish colored one on the right. When I say "salmonish color" it most probably makes you cringe as it isn't a nice color but believe me, on your lips and with a nice gold based eye shadow it works wonders.

My naked 2 pallet is a total favorite and I haven't put it down since I bought it. I haven't got a total favorite shade yet as I love them all  but I love bootycall and tease as a casual and simple everyday. I don't think there is much more I can say about this pallete because  I think everyone already know how highly rated it is.

Lastly in this months beauty favorites has to be this Kiko Valentino Bronzer in the shade (.). I absolutely love the packaging of this, I have to admit it is very big and bulky for packaging but I still love it.  This was actually reduced (yet again, from another offer) to 8 euros, down from 28 I believe but maybe you shouldn't take much notice of me. I have never really tried out any of Kiko's products, in fact this is my first buy and I am more than happy with it.
This is it for today's post, I'll see you again tomorrow! xx
