My fears.

19:30

Recently I feel like I'm scared about a lot of things. I'm worried and I'm nervous and I'm scared about committing to things. I feel like I spend half my time worrying and being scared, when really I should be putting that time into doing the thing I'm scared of.
I am really scared that I am going to fail doing whatever I'm doing now, whatever I'm doing in life. Anything I choose to do, I always think I am going to fail at it and I'm going to end up doing something I don't want to do.
Another thing that scares me is the fact that I don't know what I want to do. I know what I like, but I don't know what I want and feel capable of sticking to.
The third thing is that all my friends are really successful, and I don't feel like I'm successful, and I know that takes time and work and effort, but even if I did all that, I don't think like I could reach success. I am surrounded by people who know what they want, are either doing what they want or achieving it and I put a massive amount of pressure on myself which I guess is both a good thing and a bad thing. A good thing because it helps me push myself and do things I'm passionate about, but a negative because now I'm scaring myself.
And the fourth thing, I don't only feel like I don't know what to do career wise, sometimes I just don't know what I'm doing with my time, my life, or anything.
So I guess the thing to take from this, is that you can be scared of a lot of things, you can be scared about your work, your friends, what you are going to do with your life, but ultimately, that's what I guess makes life entertaining, because you don't know whats going to happen next and sometimes you have to take a gamble. So being scared shouldn't be a thing you be ashamed of scared of to some degree.
What are you scared of? Are you scared of something more simple such as snakes or spiders? So am I. I am also afraid of the doctors and dentists. I always remember my mum telling me that when I was little (about 4 years old) they would have to wait for me to fall asleep in my pram before cutting my hair at the hairdressers because of how stressed out and anxious I would get, so is that maybe one of your fears?

You do you.

If you've followed me on my blog for a few months, you will have read one of my most common posts called Follow Your Heart and just for in case you haven't you can read it here.

Since about June, July this year I have been loving everything makeup and fashion and I have been loving watching my makeup drawer grow, but that doesn't change the fact that I still have 5 guinea pigs, 5 dogs and 3 birds and neither does it change the fact that I sit around in pijamas all day everyday.

So far you will be wondering where on earth I am going with this, I'm not quite sure myself but its something like "do what makes you happy and do what makes you you", by this, I mean be a "country bumpkin" as my mum calls me, be a fashionista and do your makeup four times a day, do motorcycling, do Youtube, role around in mud even if that's what makes YOU happy.

In life we tend to let our lives be led by other peoples opinions and we shouldn't be, on the opposite, we should let our lives be led by what makes us happy and things we are passionate about.

The main thing you have to learn in life, and especially as a teenager is to stop caring what people think about you, because that's just going to hold you back from being who you are. People are ALWAYS going to have opinions on who you should be, but there's only one person who can actually choose that, and that is you, no ones comments define who you are.

You are you, don't change that or hide that to please other people.

Lets talk mental health.

19:56

Anxiety is something we all experience from time to time. Most of us would recognize feelings of tension, worry or fear. But if you experience anxiety symptoms at higher levels than usual, or they stay at high levels for long periods of time, this could become really uncomfortable and interfere with everyday life.
Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental health problems, affecting 1 in 4 people in the UK each year. Still people within most societies view these people as threatening and uncomfortable and these attitudes frequently lead to exclusion or discrimination towards people with mental health problems, which can make it much harder for people to speak openly about what they are going through and seek the help they need.
Anxiety can be present continuously or triggered by specific situations.
For some people, anxiety can take over there lives, as panic attacks are an exaggeration of the body's normal response to fear, stress or excitement.
Depression is another, more serious mental illness, and one that requires long-term treatment and support.
Many people suffer from depression, but sometimes it can make you feel as if you are alone in your struggle.
Mental health problems are common, but nearly nine in ten people who experience them face stigma or discrimination, and this can be one of the hardest parts of the overall experience, as it can lead to the lost of friendships, isolation, exclusion, difficulties in getting jobs and so on.
But it doesn't have to be this way. The aim of most Mental Health Campaigns is to encourage us all to be more aware about mental health and for us all to start conversations to help others.
