My Holy Grails.

19:19

Ever since starting my blog a couple of years ago, beauty has played a huge roll and was indeed the be all and end all of my blog. Recently things have taken a twist and I feel like I haven't actually written a makeup or beauty related post in so long and although I love the direction my blog is going in with more chatty, advice and lifestyle related posts, I still want to keep a fair share of beauty in the mix so today I am starting it off with my holy grail makeup products so far this year.

Starting off with brows, this Techinc brow powder is my absolute fave, it suits my brow shade so well and I can work with it extremely effortlessly to create my ideal brow shape. Naturally, my brows are quite full as I tend to touch them as little as possible but that does mean they get quite messy, so a brow gel is a must have in my makeup bag, especially if I am out for the day. Queen Of Brows by W7 is a brow gel I have spoken about quite a lot and highly recommend due to its low cost and high quality.

Moving on to my face, I have gone back to loving my Vivo BB Cream. I recently re-purchased the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in the shade 200 which is my shade, but for some reason it now oxidizes on my skin (which it never used to do) which is really frustrating. Seen as my skin has also been playing up at the moment, I just decided to stick with what I knew, and what I new worked and hadn't changed, so I just went back to Vivo, it is a light to medium coverage which I think is ideal for a day to day look.

As I am quite pasty I need to add colour back into my skin an give myself a bit of an alive look, so for this I use the IDC bronzer. Again (like with most of these products) you know I love this, as you've heard me speak about it before. It gives a subtle colour to the face without being too much and I just love to it.

Recently I have been loving the shiny, healthy, glowing skin look, so I found adding a couple of my favourite highlights works a dream. First I like to apply my MUA cream highlight and then add the Techinc one over the top and just trust me on this one, it looks amazing.

The mascaras I have been loving are the Essence All Eyes On Me one, which I always seem to lean towards as I just think it works so well, looks really natural and doesn't crumble all over my face during the evening. Although, my other go-to is the MUA False Lashes Effect one, although it makes my lashes look really fake and thick looking, I still really like it.

Lastly for my lips I recently recieved the Mac Velvet Teddy lipstick of Han and I mean... I love it. In all honestly, since I got it I don't believe there is a day I have done my makeup and not applied it... oops!

Are there any foundations you highly recommend? I need one ASAP!

Gift Guide: Christmas Stocking Fillers & Presents under £15

18:46

It's official, the countdown for the most wonderful time of the year has begun. John Lewis have finally launched their latest Christmas advert featuring Buster the Boxer, highstreets have put up their Christmas displays, cafes are offering delicious hot drinks in festive cups and Winter Wonderland has its gates open to the world.

Last yea, I did a couple of posts and videos upon the Christmas Stocking Filler idea so this year I thought I'd bring it back and do a second round.

Buying Christmas pressies can either be really a enjoyable or a really stressful experience so below I have put together a handful of items I thought would be ideal stocking fillers or gifts, all of which you can find for under £15 (all with affiliate links directly to the sites to save you from searching). Let me know if you've got any other suggestions!

Miss Guided Brown Hedgehog Slippers

Pink Elf Slippers

Any Zoella Beauty Products probably wouldn't go a miss either, so here is a link to her range and the Library of Fragrance also have an amazing range of smellies if that is what you'd like to give this Christmas so here is a link to their website.
I really hope I helped you out a little or gave you a tiny nudge in the right direction. If not, keep your eyes peeled as I shall have another Gift Guide coming soon and good luck! x

Uoga Uoga.

13:23

Uoga Uoga is a all natural, cruelty free makeup company whose products don't contain any synthetic colours or fragrances, so after trying out their products for a couple of months, I thought I would get back to you and tell you my thoughts on said products.

First of all I have the "Lip and cheek tint" in the shade Juicy (link to buy here) to which my mum has taken a special fancy. Personally, I think that on your lips it doesn't seem to have enough coverage as it is similar to a tinted lipgloss, but on the other hand, on you cheeks it gives a lovely dash of colour, still looking effortless and natural.

Next we have the loose blush powder in the shade Peachy (again, link to buy here). I had never owned, tried or used a loose blush before so I did feel quite wasteful at the first two to three attempts but once I got the hang of it I loved the finishing look. I believe the shade Peachy is one of lightest shades from the range and I think it suits my skin tone perfectly adding a subtle colour without it looking as if I am wearing any blush at all and it is animal cruelty free, could it get any better?

Last of all we have the Nude Lip gloss (check it out here). This is by far my favorite product of the three. It looks so flattering on the lips, it smells amazing and it doesn't only work as a standard lip gloss, it also is rich in ingredients such as shining castor and moringa oils, moisturising almond and raspberry seed oils, nourishing macadamia nut and jojoba oils that all blend in with natural waxes to protect your lips. In other words, they don't contain anything that isn't beneficial to your lips in someway.
Rounding this whole ramble up, these are certainly products to look out for.

STARLOOKS FULL FACE OF FIRST IMPRESSIONS

14:31

Recently I got these products from Starlooks so I thought I would do my first ever first impressions over on my YouTube, link here.

If you watch the video, you will see I loved all the products I tried and I truly believe they are completely worth the price as they are so easy to use #notanad.

The nude lipliner is in the shade "Charmed" it is long lasting, and so super creamy and nice on the lips, it is a very similar shade to the Essence 11 "In the nude" that you all know I love but the consistency and creaminess makes it ten times better to work with and more pleasurable to use.

It was my first time ever working with a cream eyeshadow so I did find it quite a struggle at the beginning, but I find it much easier if you use a brush to apply it rather than using the applicator. These eyeshadows are also very pigmented and what you see is what you get.

The Luxe Longwear eyeliner made my struggle much easier when doing my winged eyeliner and I am 100% going to use this on more of a regular basis.

My skin.

21:17

Hey lovelies, so today's topic of blog is something I try to avoid talking about at most times and also something that really plays with my confidence.

My skin is not as bad as it could be, and not as good as I wish it would be. Whether this is to diet or personal hygiene or how I remove my makeup/wash my face, etc, I do not know, but either way it has no intention of giving up on me any time soon.
I went to the doctor about this about two or three weeks ago and although "this is nothing" to him and "he can get it gone in no time" to me it is a big deal. He prescribed me these antibiotics called Rexilen that I take once a day and so far, no good. I can't say that these pills give me any obvious improvement in my skin at all, on the other (even more negative side) they have advanced my period and made it last what feels like forever (I know, great). Like I said, I have been taking them for about two to three weeks and I just don't want to give up on them just yet as I am praying that they just take time to do their job, but I will get back to you when I finish the dose prescribed (48 days) and before I go back to the doctor.
Do you have or have you had any trouble with your skin? Do you recommend anything for me to try? xx

Travel.

19:35

Yes, I know. "Where have you been?" Is that what you are wondering? I know I have been distant from many social medias (some more than others) for the last couple of months, and it has all been due to schoolwork and travelling.
If I could give any of you one pinch of advise for this summer, it is to travel. You don't have to go far and spend a lot of money, but just get out and go somewhere out of your comfort-zone, go somewhere new, somewhere you've never been before and explore. Just turn off your phone and have the time of your life or even just the day of your life.
A couple of weeks ago I left my house to go out and travel and one of the places I went to was Granada. It isn't far from where I live, just about two hours to be exact, but still I had one of the greatest times and I can't wait to go again and I totally recommend to you or anyone you know to disconnect and get on a couple of hours bus journey (that only cost me 18 euros both ways) and just have a good time.

Here's a picture of me looking down at a river (with water in it) I state that due to the fact that where I live there aren't any rivers with water in and they are all as dry as a desert.

These are a couple of pictures from a bakery's we bought a fruit salad from to share and is was delicious.

This picture is the most tumblr-ish I am most proud of as I uploaded it to tumblr in a cropped symmetrical square and oh my god...

(The Castle of Granada aka Alhambra).

We had the loveliest couscous and croquetas for dinner at a old typical Spanish bar to the sound of people singing and dancing (I've got it all on a vlog).

These two last pictures are from the medieval part of Granada, I'm still not sure what part I loved more seen as all of it was very lovely and touristic.
If you would like to follow me round Granada on my vlog, check out my Vlog Channel and hopefully the video will be up there soon.
I hope you liked this weeks blog and hopefully I get back into a little "Blog Routine" again. Love youuuuuuu xxx
