My Highlighter Highlights

16:46

When starting off with my makeup "obsession" back in 2012 highlighters were never something I would buy, I just found them quite unnecessary and when I eventually did, mum always told me I looked to have a silver stripe on my face so I took to my own sweat as the perfect alternative.

One day I saw the MUA Highlighter on the 5.99 stall in Primor and something in me made me buy it to just try it out and see what I thought of it. I became obsessed. It is a very silky, soft and creamy on the skin, and it just gives a nice - not in your face, highlight and I really recommend it.

A few months down the line, I received a few of Technics highlighters and oh my they are so pigmented, I must say that Technic just know how to make a bomb ass highlighter. Not only are they amazing quality and pigmentation but they also are really inexpensive, so its a win win situation.
Technic was 10/10 the brand that made me change my mind and made me reconsider the performance of the rest of my highlighters including the MUA highlighter stick which I had already loved for a good amount of time.

Are there any drugstore highlighters that you class as a must have in your makeup collection? Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them!

What are you waiting for? Palette review.

18:00

I've been meaning to this post ever since I slipper the palette into my Primor bag. As you have probably notices, I am more of a neutrals girl, I'd rather war a brown or a gold any day rather than a blue or a purple just because they make me look like an even bigger weirdo with my blue eyes.
When the day I was going to buy this palette came (I'd been wanting it for a couple of weeks) I was umming and aring a LOT about which palette to get as they all looked equaly as great, but finally I decided over the 'What Are You Waiting For?' palette.
It is a VERY inexpensive palette but you would've never guessed, its packaging is very high quality (it looks like a chocolate bar if I may say so myself) and it would easily be perfect to take traveling with you as it isn't at all chunky or heavy.

Now moving to the inside of the palette, it is a nudish themed palette, based on gold, brown and a bit of pinkish shades. There are twelve shimmered colors, and six matte ones all very highly pigmented and long lasting. My three favorite and most used shimmers are:
Scary conversation
Take a chance
Shut my eyes
And my three favorites and most used mattes are:
Million Dollar Contract
Hot Track
Brand New Fans
All in all I think this palette is a great buy and I will definitely be getting another one out of the collection.
Have you tried any of the Makeup Revolution products? If so, what did you think about them? Xxx

June Favorites Makeup.

So this post is a very overdue one, I have been planning out and wanting to write for a few weeks, but I'm to lazy to just sit down and get to it so I thought I'd finally just get to it.

Firstly, I've been loving these ASTRA nude nail varnishes, on the left, I've got the palest of the both and it is the number 33 and on the right I've got the slightly more tanned nude in the number 05.

Secondly, I've been loving this Rimmel (.match perfection.) concealer. Mine is in the tone classic beige. It is a liquid concealer which is my personal favorite type of concealer and I got it in a Rimmel 2x1 deal at my local drugstore.
I then have my Deliplus 4 euro mascara I have always had a love/hate relationship with ever since I bought and for some reason this month I have been really reaching out for it and loving it.

These two Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks are absolutely brilliant and I'm definitely going to be stretching y budget to buy some more. They were also on an offer but they aren't at all expensive. These I have are the number 111 (the red one on the left) and 38 (the salmonish colored one on the right. When I say "salmonish color" it most probably makes you cringe as it isn't a nice color but believe me, on your lips and with a nice gold based eye shadow it works wonders.

My naked 2 pallet is a total favorite and I haven't put it down since I bought it. I haven't got a total favorite shade yet as I love them all  but I love bootycall and tease as a casual and simple everyday. I don't think there is much more I can say about this pallete because  I think everyone already know how highly rated it is.

Lastly in this months beauty favorites has to be this Kiko Valentino Bronzer in the shade (.). I absolutely love the packaging of this, I have to admit it is very big and bulky for packaging but I still love it.  This was actually reduced (yet again, from another offer) to 8 euros, down from 28 I believe but maybe you shouldn't take much notice of me. I have never really tried out any of Kiko's products, in fact this is my first buy and I am more than happy with it.
This is it for today's post, I'll see you again tomorrow! xx

Spanish Drugstore Makeup Review

14:39

This week I thought I'd do a little review post about my Spanish drugstore makeup essentials I've been trying out and using this month.

I've been using all three of these eye liners, depending on what makeup look I've been going for, but I have especially been loving the liquid one, just because it is really easy to apply, it has a great consistency throughout the day and it is easy to remove without smudging all over my face.

This Rimmel makeup concealer can be found at nearly any drugstore or makeup section of a supermarket without having to search high and low, for me personally, it isn't the best, it doesn't do a great cover up and it doesn't last forever, but again, nothing personal that's only my own, true opinion.

This Markwins International pallet was given to me for my birthday a couple of years ago, and I hadn't looked at it twice in all that time. I love the fact that it is full of nude-ish tones, and that it is lightweight and great for traveling because it has everything you need like lip gloss, eye shadow, bronze powder, brushes and a HUGE mirror, and it isn't to big so it can easily fit in your handbag.

These three Bobby Pin makeup brushes were also given to me last year and I never touched them and now I can't even put them down, they are great blenders, they don't leave bristles all over your face and the pattern on them mixed with the rose gold works wonders.

Both these Italian make Astra bronze and translucent powder, were on a 2x1 sale at my local drugstore last month and I couldn't resist trying them (and a few more of the range) out and they haven't disappointed me although I had never herd of the make before, I definitely recommend you to try some of there products.

This lovely packaging definitely makes up for the Deliplus Mascara, I have to say it isn't my cup of tea. It does give you lovely, outstanding eyelashes, but only for a couple of hours, this mascaras consistency isn't great and it isn't easy to remove, unless you leave it to do it itself and it just dissolves into tiny black dots all over your face.

Lastly, these Astor pastel nail varnishes are my lifesaver. I LOVE THEM. They are ever lasting, they are thick coated, cheap and pastel, what else can I say?

What about you? What drugstore makeup essentials do you love and recomend me?
Until next time, Ellie Xx
