My Highlighter Highlights

16:46

When starting off with my makeup "obsession" back in 2012 highlighters were never something I would buy, I just found them quite unnecessary and when I eventually did, mum always told me I looked to have a silver stripe on my face so I took to my own sweat as the perfect alternative.

One day I saw the MUA Highlighter on the 5.99 stall in Primor and something in me made me buy it to just try it out and see what I thought of it. I became obsessed. It is a very silky, soft and creamy on the skin, and it just gives a nice - not in your face, highlight and I really recommend it.

A few months down the line, I received a few of Technics highlighters and oh my they are so pigmented, I must say that Technic just know how to make a bomb ass highlighter. Not only are they amazing quality and pigmentation but they also are really inexpensive, so its a win win situation.
Technic was 10/10 the brand that made me change my mind and made me reconsider the performance of the rest of my highlighters including the MUA highlighter stick which I had already loved for a good amount of time.

Are there any drugstore highlighters that you class as a must have in your makeup collection? Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them!

2016

January music favorites.

17:37

This month (well, last month to be exact) I have listened to a large selection of music, featuring some of the biggest artists 2015 and others featuring what we call "My Childhood" aka Hannah Montana and High School Musical. I mean, who doesn't like to jam out to a bit of Ryan and Sharpay whilst doing jobs? I do!
That said, today I thought of sharing with you a little sneek peek into what kind of music I have been listening to this month!  (Last month to be exact! *winks awkwardly*).

JUSTIN BIEBER - LOVE YOURSELF

I mean, who hasn't been loving Justin's comeback? His new album is possibly one of my faves and he is looking pretty fit, am I lying? If you say I am you lying to yourself, just saying.

JASON DERULO - WANT TO WANT ME

I am a massive Jason Derulo fan and the fact he is on tour with Aston makes me like him ten times more. This song just makes me wanna dance and sing!

ONE DIRECTION - NO CONTROL

I'm not going to lie, I am not a massive #1 fangirl of 1D but when I saw them on James Corden and listened to this song I just wanted to sing along to them like I used to do, so that's what I have done ever since, and I love it!

HELLO - ADELE

I do feel as if eveyone and their mothers have been singing this song this month but if I didn't put it up here in this blog as one of my favorites and most listened to, I would be lying, so here is is!

FLEUR EAST - SAX

This song is just so upbeat and puts me in such a good mood especially when I'm on those long car journeys.

So there are my four most listened to songs, this month, what have yours been? I feel like mine are very known songs but hey-ho! Any song recommendations?

2015

Hair care favorites 2015.

18:00

Every single time I talk about 'hair care' I somehow fit Nelly products in to the subject and I don't know how I have grown to love them so much. I remember the first time I purchased the product after having my hair chopped off at the beginning of the year (this sounds like a romantic comedy or something), but it did actually happen. Once I got my hair cut I went out on the hunt for hair products that would work great with my hair and create the finish look I wanted, and Nelly was the one.

I think the straightening shampoo and hair mask will forever be my two faves although these are no longer available in most shops (sadly). These left my hair feeling nourished and rich in shine and still made my hair look healthy and straight which is one thing that most straightening shampoos don't actually do.

To be completely honest I am not as happy with Nelly's new collection as I was with the previous. Maybe its just the retailers I know and buy from don't have the complete collection, I don't know as I haven't yet researched as much as I should.

With that said, I do still have a couple of favorites out of their new collection, these being the normal  shampoo, the ultra repair shampoo and the hydra shine hair mask that contains apple extracts (it smells amazing!!).

Now that I have bored you 'Nellyless' I do have one other product I have been loving and this is the volumising dry hair shampoo from Batiste. I love how this product seams to last me forever although I use it every day regardless, and obviously it leaves my hair non greasy and volumised as you would expect from a volumising dry hair shampoo.

And they are my top hair care favorites. I know I hardly mentioned any for a year worth of favorites, but these are the absolute favorites as I have used them non stop and they are my number one recommendations!
