2016

12:54

Although January 2016 feels a lifetime away, 2016 has flown by and I have learnt so many things.

I've started of this year with new resolutions and new perspectives of my 'goals' and new things I want to achieve.

For the first few months of last year I managed to keep up a diary which now looking back on makes me realize how much I have changed in these past twelve months, how much I have learnt and how I have different ambitions, interests and things I class as priorities.

Throughout 2016 I had so many regrets on opportunities I had knocked down in the past, the lack of studying I hadn't done when the chance was there and simply regrets on things that were out of my control and still are. This year, I only want to stress about the things that I actually can change and things that will matter in the current moment I am living on the near future.

2016 has been a roller coaster, I have grown closer to friends I thought I would never in a million years talk to after I left school, I have cut people out of my life who I have known longer than any other of my friends, I have got into fights with so many boys, I have cut people out of my life who simply don't make me happy and I have let people in and that is one of my most important achievements.

These past few years, I have gone through a lot of emotional 'teenager' crap and I have kept myself locked in my own body, I put on a front that I expected everyone to accept, I pretended to be the person I thought people wanted me to be and that got me nowhere. Now I have 'let myself out'. I have accepted myself and my imperfections, I speak what I want and sometimes I say too much. Way too much. I have learnt that being myself and being honest is what is going to make me happier and that is what matters the most (cringe).
One of my favorite quotes for the beginning of this year is 'It all ends in new beginnings' which if you know the song... I mean, you just know...  This year I want to live by that quote, be positive and just think that every time something comes to an end it is in order for another beginning.

2016 was a huge year and lots of things happened but this year it is just going to get better, because we are going to make it better.

Here's to making 2017 amazing *raises a mug of hot chocolate*.

Baby its cold outside.

One of my favorite things to do on a chilled winter evening is to get all wrapped up and to go for a nice relaxing walk down on the beach with my doggies. Here are some photos from last weeks cold and crispy walk. Enjoy.

My Favorite Vloggers

18:01

Ever since I started my obsession with YouTube a couple of years ago, my favorite videos to watch have always been vlogs. Either random vlogs, daily vlogs or weekly vlogs. I just feel a lot more connected with the YouTuber and you can get more of a raw view of said person.
With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite vloggers (without mentioning the obvious ones) in hope that they give you a little winter entertainment when needed.

Ebony Day is a British YouTuber with a really quirky personality, she has three YouTube channels and a clothing line alongside her fiance David Gibbs. I've been watching Ebony's videos for quite a bit now and I loved how chilled and cosy they make me feel. Her and David also shared both sides of their engagement day on YouTube earlier this year and it was the cutest thing ever

Sierra Furtado is a well known Canadian YouTuber who alongside her boyfriend Alex Terranova now uploads 'couple vlogs' to her vlogging channel every so often. Her vlogs consist of her everyday life, as well as little glimpses of her life on tour, or her boyfriend Alex's life on set at modelling shoots.
Kian Lawley &  JC Caylen are also well known online creators known from their O2L or KnJ YouTube Channels. Recently they have dived into the deep end and are now vlogging one day each and uploading to their joined channel every day of the week.
Rhiannon Ashlee is a YouTuber who's 'baby clothing haul' popped up in my recommended one day and I decided to watch. As weird as it sounds I fell in love with her amazing taste in baby clothes. I know, insane. I then watched a couple of her vlogs and just clicked with her. Since I started watching her videos her little family of two has grown to a little but bigger family of three. Rhiannon, Doug and little, beautiful Delilah.

My biggest fashion accessory.

19:30

Fashion is not really one of my strong points, or favorite by that matter, although I really like it, I am probably more of a makeup person and the same outfit all week long (let's be honest, if you watch my vlogs, you know that!).
If we are being 100% honest with each other I did just run through to the living room to ask my mum what my biggest fashion accessory is as if this is school homework!

I am not much of a jewelry person or of a hat person by that matter so I would probably have to say that sun glasses are my number one! I have quite the stash although I do have my favorites as does everyone (I think).

As with my fashion sense I am not very out there and "in your face" with the colours, I am more of a nudes / neutrals kind of girl although I am loving the new trend of sunnies with the colourful lenses like these in the photo (sorry, I am terrible at describing lol) although I sadly haven't got my hands on any yet!
Another few of my favorite type of sunnies at the moment are the cat-wing style ones and obviously the rose gold ones (as I am a huge rose gold maniac thanks to Zoe!) although these silver ones are also gorg.

What are your favorite fashion accessories or the ones you use the most?

YouTube.

12:32

YouTube has played a major part in my life since probably mid-2014. I remember somehow rocking up on Rebecca Ellie's channel and she became one of my first ever favorite Youtubers along side Bianca, at the time they both had probably around 4k subscribers and I remember I used to stalk them on a daily basis.
In one of Rebecca's videos I remember her mentioning Zoella as one of her favorite YouTubers so I decided to google her and started off watching one of her Primark Hauls and then somehow I ended up on her vlog channel and then Playlist live with the British Gang, Troye, Tyler, Joey Graceffa, Miranda Sings and so one until I just got addicted. All I did back then was either school or swimming pool, YouTube, eat, YouTube, eat, sleep, YouTube and so on.
I remember being a time when I was obsessed with Jack and Finn and I would watch their videos on repeat. Fun fact: I've watched their Rickshaw Run videos about three times and I'm not even guilty.
During the end of 2014 I decided to upload my first ever video to YouTube being the Furry Friend Tag with Laila (which is still currently on my channel), I did actually film a haul and some kind of Halloween video before then but I never built up the courage to upload either of those. After uploading my first ever video with Laila I remember being getting really nice comments from my Intenet Friends and an amazing feedback and I never really worried about my "school friends" or "real life people" as my mum likes to call them and what they would say if they saw it. (Two years later and my brother is the only person who has seen / found my videos and I truly think it is only because he lives with me.)
Since then I never really uploaded until October 2015 and I remember I pre-filmed about 7 videos for the whole week I was away in Portugal and I loved it, ever since I haven't given up although I do lack inspiration sometimes and struggle producing content, but every time I look and see that over 1000 let alone 100 people have seen potential and subscribed to my channel I feel so happy and so proud of myself in my own little way.
I know I don't say it enough but I am so thankful to every single one of you who make me have a smile on my face everyday and support me through thick and thin. Thanks to YouTube I have met some amazing people who will hopefully forever be in my life, and as cringy as it may sound, thanks to YouTube I am now happy again. In 2014 I was going through a really rough time and knowing I could just switch off life and fall back on YouTube to make me laugh and smile really helped me out. Believe it or not, YouTube is an amazing platform and it has helped so many people and I just hope it continues this way for a long long time.
To end of, here is a list of my most watched YouTubers at the moment (embrace yourself, there are quite a few, also, I have linked their main channels, but I'm loving the vlogs more):

Thanks again, you are amazing! xx

2 minute mug cake recipe.

20:30

If you are somewhat like me in the bakery department (or kitchen department for that matter) you start off quite confident every time and quite big headed and always end it on a down side and eating supermarket muffins, well I've got a solution for you. The 2 (or 3) minute mug cake!

For this super-easy recipe you are only going to need the following six ingredients and a microwave proof mug!

  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of whisked egg
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder

Okay, so now you have put all those ingredients in a mug, whisk away until you achieve a nice runny consistency!

Then pop it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes depending on how well 'baked' you want your cake.

And voila! There you have you mug in a cake! If you do try this recipe be sure to tag me on Instagram or tweet me on Twitter, thank for everything my friends! *all the biggest hugs and squeezes*

2016.

18:30

So, we're done with 2015. New year, new stuff happening. In January I found myself reflecting on the past year as well as thinking about whats to come. There's a lot of stuff I want to achieve this year and as much as its exciting, its kind of scary.
For starters I want to eat better, not just say "I will eat better." I want to walk and exercise and get out and about more, although I think everyone probably says that.
I want to document moments better and get better at keeping the important ones.
I want to try and make time for friends and other people. I wasn't good at that last year.
I want to make something that actually means something and something I actually like.
And I want to stick to my YouTube upload schedule.
I suppose, above all I just want to be happy, I want my friends, my family, you guys, just everyone to be happy. Lot of shitty things happened through 2015 worldwide so I just hope 2016 is a better year. For everyone.

January music favorites.

17:37

This month (well, last month to be exact) I have listened to a large selection of music, featuring some of the biggest artists 2015 and others featuring what we call "My Childhood" aka Hannah Montana and High School Musical. I mean, who doesn't like to jam out to a bit of Ryan and Sharpay whilst doing jobs? I do!
That said, today I thought of sharing with you a little sneek peek into what kind of music I have been listening to this month!  (Last month to be exact! *winks awkwardly*).

JUSTIN BIEBER - LOVE YOURSELF

I mean, who hasn't been loving Justin's comeback? His new album is possibly one of my faves and he is looking pretty fit, am I lying? If you say I am you lying to yourself, just saying.

JASON DERULO - WANT TO WANT ME

I am a massive Jason Derulo fan and the fact he is on tour with Aston makes me like him ten times more. This song just makes me wanna dance and sing!

ONE DIRECTION - NO CONTROL

I'm not going to lie, I am not a massive #1 fangirl of 1D but when I saw them on James Corden and listened to this song I just wanted to sing along to them like I used to do, so that's what I have done ever since, and I love it!

HELLO - ADELE

I do feel as if eveyone and their mothers have been singing this song this month but if I didn't put it up here in this blog as one of my favorites and most listened to, I would be lying, so here is is!

FLEUR EAST - SAX

This song is just so upbeat and puts me in such a good mood especially when I'm on those long car journeys.

So there are my four most listened to songs, this month, what have yours been? I feel like mine are very known songs but hey-ho! Any song recommendations?
