How to start a YouTube Channel.

17:30

The number one thing I can advice you about the most, is when you start your channel, you have to pick a topic. For me, my "topic" was fashion and beauty. You don't only have to create videos about said topic, you can obviously through in other videos here and there, that aren't on the topic. You can make things easier to find by creating playlists, so that people can go through and watch the type of videos they are into. There are so many categories of videos on YouTube and that is one of my favorite things about it, there are videos for everyone.

Number two is that you should start an Instagram and Twitter account so you can connect to your subscribers and also to find subscribers, notify subscribers and so on.

Number three is to try and find YouTube friends. This is very hard, as a lot of other YouTubers can
try and use you. I would recommend finding someone with a similar subscribing count as your own and recommend reaching out to them to either do a collab, to talk, anything like that. Join YouTuber groups and so on.

Number four, just has to be DON'T BE AFRAID. Don't be afraid of what people will think, don't be afraid of what people will say, don't be afraid of putting yourself out there for hate comments, don't be afraid of what your family, your boyfriend, your dog, or what anyone is going to think. Don't be afraid, just do it. If this is something that you truly want to do, go for it. If you start doing it and you don't like it, or you don't enjoy it, you don't have to continue, it's not a job that you signed a lifetime contract to. If you don't like it you can stop, but don't be afraid to start.

Number five. Do your research on editing and what makes a YouTube channel that will work. Just as you are doing and are reading this, do lots more, watch videos, read other blogs, look at thumbnails, get inspired. You need custom thumbnails, if you haven't a custom thumbnail you need to get one, you need eye catching titles, not click-bate, just good titles.

Those are my five top points on how to start a YouTube channel. Try, it and give it time, you'll love it and you'll get the hang of it. Anything specific such as how to upload a video, make a custom thumbnail, and so on you can find by searching on Google, but this is how to mentally start a YouTube channel, because I know it can be really nerve racking.
What are your tips? Have you got any for me? xx
