Same Old

19:00

I ended 2018 as I mean to go on...
During 2018 instead of waiting until the 1st of January to start my so called "resolutions", mid December I decided Why not now? Instead of waiting twelve more days, twenty or even two to start living my best life (so cliché, I know, sorry, yep...) Why not now?
I want to be the best version of myself for myself, I want to love what I do and do what I love, I want to spend time with the people I love and I want to squeeze every last drop out of life. I´ve spent this past year or even two dwelling on decisions I have made, places I´ve missed out on going to, what if this and what if that, when the real problem is NOW. Live now cause you have no clue what will happen tomorrow.

The now.

12:00

          Hi guys! How is everything?
Today, I wanted to sit here and talk to you about something that has been on my mind a lot lately, and that is the idea of living in the now.
So I guess a lot of you like me, often worry about the future and how everything will plan out and after reading this book called The Power of Now and after really thinking about it, I guess its just a rethink of how I live everyday life. So the moment I am living in now and the moment your living in now, the past and the future and really things. The past is a previous present and the future is an out-coming present. All we really have is the moment we are living in right now and I guess its just important to capsulize on that. And I guess I am talking about YOLO and the fact that you do only live once, but it has just come more apparent to me, that the clock is ticking, life is counting down and it is important to grab every moment as it comes. Over the past couple of weeks I've heard about a lot of people just dying unexpectedly and just a huge amount of thing happening in the world and that just made me think.
There's always a divider of whether you should follow your heart, or follow your brain, and I suppose I shouldn't be encouraging this, but if something makes sense to you, but doesn't make sense to anyone else, I think you should just go and do it. I mean, if you want to go on a murder spree, don't do that because that's crazy but follow your heart, live in the moment and capsulize on whats going on now because eventually all of this is going to be in the past. Think of things that will be important in the future but don't become obsessed with them, just be young and reckless, make irrational and stupid decisions and just do what feels right now because before you know it the future will be here and the past will be in the past and you'll just regret it if you don't make the most of the time you've got now.
Your here on the planet to go and enjoy happiness so please just go and find it, whoever you are and wherever you are, please just go and find yourself. Live the moment and seize the day.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Leave a comment down below telling me how you live your life, do you live your life? How do you think things?
Anyway, I hope you guys are having the times of your lives, I hope you are lucking forward to the weather and the summer and I hope you are all going to let loose and enjoy yourselves, and on that note, I will be catching you guys soon. Byeeeeee! Xx

Pictures

12:00

Ever since I remember I have been obsessed with pictures: Polaroids, film ones, digital ones. I just love something that captures a Time and a Place. I look around my room and it is full of pictures. Moments. These moments that existed, and then disappeared. I suppose I never considered the importance of a picture until I went through a box of my mums old pictures, and inside I found a sea of different memories from when she was younger. Different memories. Different times. Different people. Another world that existed and now it doesn't but you have proof that it happened, it is living and re-living in pictures and it is forever immobilized.

You can see the time you went on a family holiday to Mallorca when you were two.

Or the time you got your photos taken back in nursery or school.

Or even more recently when you took that late evening stroll round a different city you'd never visited.

Or the time in your old house when you we're playing in the garden because it was a nice summery day.
Its all there and I guess that's why pictures are important. You can appreciate the pictures yourself or more importantly it opens up that little box in your head that takes you back to that time and that place, and the beauty is maybe it was a good time for you, or maybe it was a bad time for you, either way your happiness or sadness can resign in a picture. For example, you might not be able to recognize yourself or other people in a picture but it doesn't matter because it is frozen and it was what it was and I suppose that it is it, it is a fragment of time forever frozen, but frozen while your living and breathing.
Yes, and I suppose that is why I love pictures.

False alarm and eagle alert!

20:02

So yes, it turns out that my mummy guinea pig wasn't in labor, it was just me getting excited and anxious for the babies to arrive. She is still heavily pregnant though and a bit moody so she must of just been feeling it that day especially.
Well that's all the news for today, and seen as that is all I had to blog about, I thought that sticking to the animal theme I would tell you about yesterdays event. The peacock alert. Here goes.
Yesterday morning I got back from walking my dogs, just to find a peacock sat on the pool banister under the tree. Obviously I couldn't let it go without snapping some pics.

After its first and sadly, most probably last photo shoot I remembered a neighbor from a few houses down used to have a peacock or two, so I went and asked her and she admitted it was hers but as most Spanish are, didn't care for a moment and just said it will either come back or not.
After her frustrating behavior I went home and woke my brother home, fetched some towels and gardening gloves and hoped for him to tackle the peacock hen down, but he didn't. As soon as he arrived at the seen, she did her grand escape, the thing that she had probably been dying to do for months. She set off. But not like a peacock she had the speed of a sparrow behind her and looked like a gigantic eagle or something, I bet more than one teenage fool called the police saying they'd seen an eagle (most probably one of my brothers friends, they've done it before).
I just want to thank this peacock for allowing me to take these beautiful snaps, wish her and her boyfriend (who the neighbor told me also had escaped less than an hour later) the best in there journey, and lastly that they get a foreign new owner so they can get treated correctly.
What "animal" tales have you got to tell me? I'd love to hear all about them!

Follow your heart

09:40

"We gain strength, courage and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do all that we think we cannot." - Eleanor Roosevelt.

Following your heart is all about the actions you are taking and the person you are being, and doing what you love means you listen to your intuition, you take actions according to what you love, following you passions and you express your unique gifts and talents to the world with no fear.
Our society today is driven by our minds, our fears and our ego. We do not place as much value and emphasis on passion, love and spiritual purpose. Instead, it is all about the external success, money, security, stability and reputation, and as a result many of us do not feel it is important to tune in to our hearts and hear what it wants. We are too busy trying to get ahead and make something of ourselves in this world.
This is why when you attempt to start following your heart, your head will be really quick to doubt your actions. This fearful mind, also called your ego, will bring up all the reasons why you cannot do what you desire. It will trigger memories and feelings from the past that add such power to the case you decide that it is better to just stay where you are.

"The path that your heart calls you towards may be an unconventional one. It may be scary and involve taking risks. Following your heart often requires us to take a detour from the well trodden path, and rebel from societal or family expectations in order to find our inner fulfillment, although it can be a long and lonely road at the beginning."

Sometimes, we must look at our life honestly and truly evaluate what parts of it we love and which we don't.
Often, your heart's desire may mean that you have to go against what your family wants for you, or what your friends expect of you. It may mean facing your fears and doing something you love, yet are petrified of at the same time. It may mean that you have to do something different than what others want you to do. It may mean learning to listen to a deep inner voice, rather than the loud forceful voice of the outer world.
The decision to follow your heart is a journey. If you have been living a life that is not heart driven, the decision to follow your heart will most likely turn your world upside down. It may be a scary road, but that is what life is all about.
People have these amazing, beautiful dreams and desires, but they ignore them to such a point they tell themselves they can never have them. For most people, it is much easier to live in denial than to actually face what it is they really want. They would rather pretend they are happy with what they have and justify to themselves that their inner dreams are not really that important anyway.
Don't you think it is time you were honest with yourself? Time to find out what you really want from life and stop pretending? xx

2015

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!
Yes, you read it right, on the 25th of January I have randomly written a blog post to wish you all a good 2015.
Mine has started off pretty well, in 25 days I have been noticed by Romeo Lacoste about three times, I have gained a follow from James Yammouni, Rebecca Fox reblogged one of my posts, I have gained 150 notes on one of my own photos on tumblr, therealblasian followed me in 2014 but I have only just realized she also answered my direct message, Steven Dartle noticed me AGAIN, Stef, Hannah and Alfie all noticed me and liked my YouTube video and last but not least, neither Aston Merrygold or JJ have yet unfollowed me on twitter.
And all that is without mentioning the fact that I have finally started focusing on my future and what I need in life, and by this I mean that I am not going to let 2015 be like last year, I now know who I need in my life and who I don't, and lets call this year 'the change'.
This year I am going to be changing to a better me, a more grown up me some of you may prefer to say. I shall tell you:
          1. I am finishing school in June (hopefully). This means I should stick in and get studying for the last strech.
          2. I am 18 this year. This means people are going to expect more from me and I am going to make them proud (or at least try)
          3. I am moving house. No, I am not moving out. Not yet. My parents and me have decided it will be better if we move to a town nearer to my dads job, so he doesn't have to spend a whole weekend away from home, especially as he isn't getting younger. This means lots of new oportunities for me like new people or new friends, a job, a car maybe and just a chance for us all to start from zero. The only problem is my brother doesn't want to move. He doesn't want to move anywhere away from his girlfriend even though he hasn't got a car, job, money, he basically has no way of living on his own. I just hope this doesn't ruin it for us.
The problem with the house we are living in now is lack of neighbors that my mum can talk to and go out with so she can have a laugh and a normal life, I don't tend to go out either, I just stay at home on the internet and my dad is always working, so that means he isn't at home. The house has got a brilliant pool and a good sized land, but it is so big it just needs so much money and time spending on it so it could feel like a home, and we aren't prepared to do that as it is a rented property.
Anyway, I am not quite sure how I got into that deep property talk, but all I was wanting to say is that I am going to make the most of this year and film as much as possible of it so I can make it one to remember, and hopefully the one when my life gets better.
     Until soon, Ellie x
